How Shakespeare Is Helping Educators Prevent Youth Violence

The University of Colorado Boulder’s Center for the Study and Prevention of Violence (CSPV) is partnering with the Colorado Shakespeare Festival to bring an innovative violence-prevention program to schools. Since 2011, the “Shakespeare and Violence Prevention” tour has used live theatre and role-play to help students build empathy, understand conflict, and become upstanders. CSPV bridges research and real-world solutions, tailoring evidence-based strategies that reduce violence and strengthen school communities. See the Yellow Scene Magazine story here.
