Game Changers

The Game Changers are a passionate group of young people on a mission to unleash their power to prevent and reduce youth violence. Through partnership with community organizations, schools, and local businesses, youth see firsthand the issues in their communities and are given the tools and resources they need to respond effectively. Their efforts bridge science, arts, and media, to create sustained positive change. 

The YVPC-D community work is driven by a passionate group of youth leaders called the Game Changers. The Game Changers include 35 young people on a mission to unleash their power to prevent and reduce youth violence.

The Game Changers combine youth voices with the science of violence prevention to inspire their peers to take collective action. Their efforts bridge science, arts, and media to create pathways for youth to unleash their power, amplify their voice, and make a positive impact on both their communities and their future.

The Game Changers engage youth in conversation using digital and social media and host community events to prevent violence and promote positive development. They also provide guidance to grassroots youth-serving organizations and serve as peer navigators to connect youth and their families with local resources.
