Launched in September 2024, VOICE empowers youth aged 16-24 who have been impacted by the criminal justice system to advocate for meaningful reform. Youth learn about the harmful impacts of the criminal legal system and receive training in policy advocacy, organizing, and leadership development. Participating youth culminate their tenure in VOICE with a capstone project that focuses their learning on a policy or project aimed at improving outcomes for system-involved youth.
- VOICE training curriculum developed in partnership with the National Center for Youth Law
- Five youth leaders have completed the 6-month training course and developed their capstone projects
