Bio

Uriel is a PhD candidate in Applied Demography at the University of Texas at San Antonio and holds a Master’s in Population Studies and a bachelor’s degree in Economics.

Research interests include statistical and demographic methods, conflict and violence studies, critical demography, and the Mexican War on Drugs. He has presented his research at domestic and international conferences such as the Population Association of America, the Southern Demographic Association, and the Latin American Association of Sociology. He also likes to ride his bike, read ethnographies, and fútbol.
