Karen Drewelow manages a multi-state dissemination effort of Botvin LifeSkills Training (LST), an experimentally-proven substance abuse and violence prevention program for adolescents. Before joining CU Boulder in 2011 as a Professional Research Assistant, Drewelow earned a B.A. in Criminal Justice from Loras College and went on to study Criminology at the University of Northern Iowa. There, she served as a Research Assistant at the Center for Social and Behavioral Research where she was involved with applied research projects, including evaluations of programs for tobacco cessation, gambling treatment, academic outcomes, and prenatal care, among others.
